Black entertainers stand up

Shout outs to David Banner, Master P, Russell Simmons, the good folks at BET and other black entertainers and leaders for taking some reigns in helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. So that we all stay informed, check out this story on BET's website about the tel-a-thon on September 9 to raise money for those in need. Good job, BET!

Also, check out Tom Joyner's site for more information on relief efforts wthin the black community.

It seems that everybody's talking about the hip hop community making a difference in the lives of those suffering. So don't let the media make you think that black people don't pull together in times of need.
