This Weekend

Wow, so much stuff to do, so little time. This will be an extra long weekend, so you have no excuse for not making at least one appearance and saying whatsup to me The Pink Ghetto scouts will be out on the town, taking photos at the hottest events in Columbus, hope to catch you in the act!

Though I plan on twisting my hair for the first part of the evening, I may venture out to the Cove tonight. I know lots of people are into the haunted houses, but being scared isn’t really all that fun for me, so I’m straight on that.

I’ll make sure I go to the little girl’s room before heading over to the All Stars of Comedy at Veteran’s Memorial starting at 8 p.m. If you didn’t catch my story on the event the other day, Anthony Anderson, Sommore, Lavelle Crawford and T.P. Hearns will be bringing the funny.

If Gospel is more your thing, Dorinda Clarke Cole and Tye Tribbette will be blessing the Ohio Union at Ohio State in concert starting at 9 p.m. for the second annual Back To School Jam.

Of course the Cove and the Red Zone will be doing their thing.

For you sports fans, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be playing the Toronto Raptors in a preseason game at Nationwide Arena. I’ve never seen King George play, and if you’re like me you should check that out!

In8 is back with the Esoteric Movements on Sundays at Zola Dining Lounge (782 N. High St.) Now according to In8, this event will feature some dope music, drink specials, food…but unlike Mahogany’s Soul there's no poetry and it lasts until 2:30 in the a.m. If you get there before 11 p.m., the price is discounted. So check it out!

You thought the weekend ended on Sunday…well Chi-Town’s Kanye West will be doing his thing at the Schottenstein’s Arena with Keyshia Cole and Fantasia starting at 7:30 p.m. Students, (or those still with their college IDs), make sure you peep the $20 discount tickets. No excuse not to touch the sky on Monday!

There’s lots of good shit coming up in the next couple weeks, so make sure to stay posted and I’ll make sure to keep you informed on where the hottest events are. Shout outs to The Urban Author, J. Rawls and my nig P.Tosh for doing their thing and getting big things accomplished with their art. Shout outs to Lone Catalysts, SugaRay and DJ Krate Digga for making a culture vulture feel loved in this chaotic nightlife…holla!
