Hang Out w/ Me!

Now, my crew likes to say "Rock Out With Your Cock Out" but I thought that was a little harsh for a headline. So, let's throw out this myth circling around the city that Columbus dies in the winter time...that's not true! Shit, I have so much stuff to do it's crazy. And you guys out in cyber space need to start coming out. Get your scarf, glove, hat ensemble together and rock out!
Tonight at Black Pearl Poetry, Ed will be bringing in Lyrical Insurrection from Cincy to do a feature. Plus my girl Cinnamon (who celebrated her bday this weekend) will be selling her Shea Butter goodies. You need to take care of that winter ash anyways, so that's another reason to come out. Ed has some big things planned for the next couple weeks. On Dec. 20, the Grand Slam will be going down as poets will be competing to rep Columbus in the National Poetry Slam Competition (I don't know the official name, okay). It's going to be some for real Roman-style bloodbath poetry going on.

Dec. 27 will be an end of the year concert featuring my homies Middle Child, S.P.I.R.I.T. (shout outs to Necessary), Talisha Holmes and DJ BHB on the boards. Cost: $5. Stop playing and bring your asses out!

Now on Wednesday, get Warm at the Cove thanks to In8 Inner-Prizes. The Happy Hour joint is back from 6p.m. to 10 p.m. (open bar from 5p.m. to 7p.m. if you pre-register at njurist@yahoo.com) featuring hot drinks, hot food and Bleek offering up his ecclectic music tastes. Also, look out for the Pink Ghetto coming live and in person...you'll have to come out Wednesday to hear more about that.

Did I give you enough to do? Good...and remember when you see me in the streets, you KNOW me! So say hello!

Hey Donna, there will be over seven acts performing that night on December 27th. the main acts are Middle Chil, SPIRIT, Talisha Holmes...then of course BHB is spinning..other performers will be Intellect, Epidemic, Rese, and more...you will not find another concert with this mix of urban, rock, funk, soul, hip hop, r&b, and more- not for FIVE DOLLARS..hell, not for five hundred. So tell all your buddies to come out that night. This show will sell out and will be off the hook!
