The Art photos

Went to The Art at Long Street Live last night. Where were you guys at? The Art usually draws plenty of urban high steppers, because the best of visual art, poetry and music is always there. But the people weren't. Please tell me you weren't home watching American Idol.

Well, I made the mistake of coming late and missing most of the performances. I got there at 10:30 p.m., which tells you that folks could hav came out at 9 p.m. and still got home at a respectable hour. But shout outs to my boy Tone, Cyrus Baty and all the poets who performed. Here are some pics to remind you of all the fun you missed out on, if you weren't there.

Linia was in the gansta lean while showing off het hot photography. There's Dan!

The Rebirth was doing their thing. Just in case you never heard of them, they have a Brand New Heavies kind of thing going on. Very soulful.

Even though the group was rockin, the crowd was kind of shy. After much coaxing, this couple was the first to get out there and do their thing. They get an A for bravery!

The group got more into it as the crowd warmed up...

Even Black Pearl Poetry host Ed Mabrey was getting in the groove.
